As we all know by now… almost 10000 people missing, the death toll is constant rising, a train vanished… huge fire, the Fukushima nuclear power plant blew up… Radioactive threats… Ugh… What a way to start 2011.. Gambatte Nihon! Don’t give up!
There’s also havoc in the anime/manga industry as fans flock to the Internet to find out if their fav mangakas, seiyuus, studios are safe or not.
While I am keeping track of the list of seiyuus that are safe from the recent disaster , I’m not really keeping track of the mangaka and studios but you guys can click on these links for updates on who’s safe and who’s still unconfirmed.

Ghibli studio tells that none of their employees and workers are harmed, so in short they’re all safe and sound, maybe Hayao Miyazaki doesnt have any time to write that he is safe on the interne? According to the back of the books, she’s from the Tokushima Prefecture, and according to the CNN destruction map ( http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2011/japan.quake/map/?hpt=T1 ) that area received some damage. But I couldn’t say where she was at the time it happened.
